Susan Samlaska, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist at Buckhead Injury Wellness Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. She specializes in pain management for patients of all ages, using an integrated medication and cognitive-behavioral therapy approach.
Dr. Samlaska received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee before completing a transitional internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. After her internship, Dr. Samlaska moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to complete an anesthesiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. To further her education and experience, Dr. Samlaska also completed a fellowship in pain management at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Dr. Samlaska is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiologists. She also received certification by the American Board of Pain Medicine and completed additional qualifications to earn a certificate in pain management from the American Board of Anesthesiology, the only pain management certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
